Globalization and new technology have a complex relationship in a world of scarce resources, with both positive and negative impacts on resource availability and distribution.
On the one hand, globalization and new technology can help to increase the efficiency of resource use and reduce the demand for certain resources. For example, new technologies, such as renewable energy sources, can help to reduce the reliance on non-renewable resources, such as fossil fuels. Similarly, globalization can help to increase the efficiency of resource use by allowing countries to specialize in the production of certain resources and trade them with other countries. This can help to reduce the overall demand for resources, as countries are able to access the resources they need through trade rather than relying on domestic production.
On the other hand, globalization and new technology can also have negative impacts on resource availability and distribution. For example, the increased demand for certain resources, such as water and land, can lead to resource depletion and environmental degradation. In addition, the unequal distribution of resources can exacerbate existing inequalities and lead to conflicts over access to resources.
In the context of India, globalization and new technology have both positive and negative impacts on resource availability and distribution. On the one hand, India has made significant progress in increasing the efficiency of resource use and reducing the demand for certain resources through the adoption of new technologies, such as renewable energy sources. On the other hand, India also faces significant challenges in terms of resource depletion and environmental degradation, as well as inequalities in resource distribution. To address these challenges, it is important for India to adopt policies and practices that will maximize the benefits from and reduce the negative impacts of globalization and adoption of new technologies.
