They believe that a strong central government is necessary to maintain the unity and integrity of the country and to effectively implement national policies.

On the other hand, regional parties, such as the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) in Tamil Nadu and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) in Uttar Pradesh, are primarily focused on the issues and concerns of their respective states. They believe that the states should have more autonomy and decision-making power, as they are better equipped to address the specific needs and concerns of their regions.
Overall, the tension between centralization and state autonomy is a longstanding issue in India's federal system, and it reflects the diverse and decentralized nature of the country's political landscape.
