There are several reasons why the armies of the British East India Company, which were largely composed of Indian soldiers, were able to consistently win against the more numerous and better equipped armies of the Indian rulers. These reasons include:

1. Military training and discipline: The British East India Company's armies were well-trained and disciplined, which gave them an advantage over the less organized and less disciplined armies of the Indian rulers.

2. Superior weaponry and technology: The British East India Company had access to superior weaponry and technology, such as cannons and rifles, which allowed them to outgun the armies of the Indian rulers.

3. Control of the seas: The British East India Company had control of the seas, which allowed them to easily transport troops and supplies to India. This gave them a significant advantage over the Indian rulers, who had to rely on land routes to move their armies.

4. Strategy and tactics: The British East India Company's armies were led by experienced and skilled military leaders who were able to develop and execute effective strategies and tactics. This helped them to defeat the armies of the Indian rulers, even when they were outnumbered.

5. Collaboration with local rulers: The British East India Company often formed alliances with local rulers and used them to help fight against other Indian rulers. This allowed them to leverage local resources and manpower to their advantage.

Overall, the combination of military training and discipline, superior weaponry and technology, control of the seas, effective strategy and tactics, and collaboration with local rulers allowed the armies of the British East India Company to consistently win against the more numerous and better equipped armies of the Indian rulers.
